The Mzaar Trail Network was officially inaugurated on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Mzaar Ski Resort, through a collaboration between Mountain Society NGO, founded by Bechara Salame, and Mzaar Ski Resort.

The inauguration featured the network’s first official hike, leading participants to Mzaar Peak (Around 2,450 m) before continuing to Cave des Moutons on Jabal Dib. The event attracted a large number of hikers from across Lebanon, celebrating the launch of a new destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

During the event, “Mountains Magazine Lebanon” interviewed several participants and founders of hiking groups, who praised the initiative. They highlighted that having a professionally developed trail network in Kfardebian & Keserwan, within one of Lebanon’s most iconic ski resorts, is a major step forward for hiking and mountain sports. They also noted that the project will boost eco-tourism, encourage sustainable access to the mountains, and help establish Mzaar as a year-round destination for nature lovers.
