إطلاق الإتحاد اللبناني لرياضات التسلق والجبال بمشاركة رياضية واسعة
أبصر الإتحاد اللبناني لرياضات التسلق والجبال النور خلال حفل كبير عقد في مركز التدريب والمؤتمرات التابع لشركة طيران الشرق الأوسط في مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي، وذلك برعاية وزارة الشباب والرياضة وبالتعاون مع وزارتي السياحة والبيئة.
حضر الحفل وزيرة الشباب والرياضةالسابقة فارتينيه اوهانيان، مدير عام الوزارة زيد خيامي، رئيس أركان الجيش اللبناني أمين العرم، رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية بيار جلخ وأعضاء المكتب التنفيذي، رئيس مصلحة الرياضة محمد عويدات، ممثل الصليب الأحمر اللبناني ميشال منصور.
كما حضر عدد كبير من رؤساء وممثلي الإتحادات الرياضية اللبنانية إضافة الى العديد من مدراء وممثلي المحميات الطبيعية والجمعيات والأندية الرياضية والسياحية والبيئية و عدد من الشخصيات والفعاليات الرياضية والثقافية والإجتماعية ومحبي رياضات التسلق والهايكينغ ومختلف الوسائل الاعلامية

افتتح الحفل بالنشيد الوطني اللبناني، وألقى بعده عضو الاتحاد ليندوس ضو كلمة ترحيبية بالحضور، تلاه عرضاً موجزاً من عضو الاتحاد باسكال عبدالله عن مراحل تشكيل الاتحاد منذ بداية العام 2019، وصولاً الى انتخاب أول هيئة ادارية له، اضافة الى رؤية وأهداف وهيكلية الاتحاد

الوزيرة أوهانيان قالت في كلمتها: لقد شرّفني الاتحاد اللبناني لرياضات التسلق والجبال بدعوتي الى حفل اطلاقه واتمنى له ان يحقق الانجازات للبنان ويصل بنا الى اعلى قمم العالم. واضافت: “ان إطلاق الإتحاد اللبناني لرياضات التسلق والجبال رسالة رياضية وسياحة وبيئية في آن وتعزيز هذه الرياضة يسهم في تطوير السياحة الداخلية والريفية والحفاظ على البيئة وزيادة المحميات الطبيعية والتدريب احترام السلامة العام،

من جهته، أكد خيامي أن اتحاد التسلق يعتبر اتحادًا مثاليًا للعبة مهمة جدًا في لبنان، آملاً ان تصل هذه الرياضة إلى أماكن بعيدة وتحقق نتائج كبيرة في العالم

بدوره، أشار جلخ الى أن “اللجنة الأولمبية حريصة على دعم اتحاد التسلق من أجل توجيه الشباب نحو الرياضة بشكل عام”، منوهاً بأهمية رياضات التسلق على المستويين الوطني والاولمبي

أما رئيس اتحاد رياضات التسلق والجبال خضر الغضبان الذي رحّب بالحضور الذي تكبّد عناء المشاركة خاصة في هذه الظروف الصعبة، أوضح أن فكرة إطلاق الإتحاد جاءت بعد سلسلة الأحداث المؤسفة التي حصلت مع المتسلقين اللبنانيين في نيبال عامي 2018 و2019 حيث تركوا المتسلقين لمصيرهم، وغيرها من الأحداث المأساوية التي حصلت في لبنان.

وأكد الغضبان أن الهدف الأساسي للإتحاد هو تطوير ونشر وتعزيز هذه الرياضة المزدهرة في لبنان “حيث حقق اللبنانيون نتائج مهمة على مختلف الأصعدة، منذ ايام فادي بارودي وبول خواجة ومكسيم شعيا، وصولاً الى مشاركة بعثة لبنان في بطولة الأردن المفتوحة للتسلق منذ أيام. وأشار الى الحدث التاريخي في العالم 2019 والذي تجلى بوصول خمسة لبنانيين من أصل 16 متسلقًا عربيًا الى قمة افرست”، قائلاً: “نملك الإرادة التصميم والكثير من مقومات النجاح والتميّز في هذه الرياضة”.
ولفت الغضبان الى مساهمة اتحاد التسلق والمشي في الجبال في تطوير السياحة الداخلية والريفية والتسويق لأنواع جديدة من السياحة في المحافل الخارجية، مؤكدًا أن “الحفاظ على البيئة وزيادة أعداد المحميات الطبيعية هو في صلب رؤية الاتحاد”. وتابع “سنحاول تشكيل فرق بحث وإنقاذ في المناطق من أجل المساهمة مع الجيش اللبناني والصليب الأحمر والدفاع المدني من أجل المساعدة في الحوادث التي يمكن ان تقع خاصة خلال العواصف”،لافتاً الى اهمية التوعية والتدريب واحترام قواعد السلامة العامة من أجل رياضة وسياحة آمنة

وختم كلمته بدعوة محبي هذه الرياضة الى الانضمام للاتحاد عبر اللجان المتخصصة والمناطقية كل حسب اختصاصه من أجل العمل بطريقة تشاركية للانطلاق بهذه الرياضة استكمالاً للعديد من الاجتماعات الافتراضية التي عُقدت مؤخراً، مضيفًا “هناك بعض الأمور الإدارية التي جاري العمل على إنجازها حاليًا قبل تقديم ملف الانضمام بشكلٍ رسمي للجنة الاولمبية اللبنانية كما للاتحاد الدولي لرياضات التسلق”.
وكان قد تخلل الحفل رسالة عبر الفيديو لمتسلق الجبال العالمي النيبالي مينغما دافيد شيربا (أصغر متسلق للـ 14 جبل فوقالـ 8000 متر في العالم وصاحب العديد من الارقام القياسية العالمية)، حيث تمنى فيها للاتحاد وللمتسلقين اللبنانيين النجاح والتوفيق، داعياً اياهم لمتابعة انجازاتهم الرياضية المشهودة لهم على الصعيد الدولي.

وبعد نقاش مع الحضور شارك فيه عضوي الهيئة الادارية للإتحاد أويديس قلباقليان وعماد ابو ابراهيم، بالاضافة الى الغضبان وعبد الله وضو، اختتم اللقاء بحفل كوكتيل

The launching of the Lebanese Federation of Sports Climbing and Mountaineering, with a wide participation from sports lovers.

The Lebanese Federation of Sports Climbing and Mountaineering was launched during a large event held at the Middle East Airlines Training and Conference Center at Rafic Hariri International Airport, under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism.
The launching was attended by the former Minister of Youth and Sports “Vartine Ohanian”, director general of the Ministry “Zaid Khiyami”, Lebanese army Chief of Staff “Amin Al-Aram”, President of the Lebanese Olympic Committee “Pierre Jalakh”, Head of Sports Department “Mohamed Oweidat” and the representative of the Lebanese Red Cross “Michel Mansour”.
A large number of federations representatives also attended the launching of the Lebanese Federation of Sports Climbing and Mountaineering, in addition to many representatives from the Lebanese reserves, sports and tourism clubs, climbing and hiking lovers and various media and press channels.

The opening of the event was with the Lebanese national anthem, after which the federation member “Lindos Daou” gave a welcoming speech to the attendees, followed by a brief presentation by the federation member “Pascal Abdallah” about the stages of creating the federation since the beginning of 2019, leading to the election of its first administrative body, in addition to the federation’s vision, objectives and structure.
The former Minister “Ohanian” said in her speech: I was honored to be invited to the launching ceremony of The Lebanese Federation of Sports Climbing and Mountaineering, and I wish that it will lead to several achievements for Lebanon and will take us to the highest peaks of the world. She added: “The launching of the Lebanese Federation of Sports Climbing and Mountaineering is a sports, tourism and environmental message at the same time, and the promotion of this sport contributes in developing domestic and rural tourism, preserving the environment, increasing nature reserves and respecting public safety.
For his part, “Khiyami” confirmed that the Climbing Federation is an ideal federation for a very important sport in Lebanon, hoping that it achieves great results in the world.

In his turn, “Jalkh” said that “The Olympic Committee is keen to support the Climbing Federation in order to direct young people towards sports in general,” noting the importance of climbing sports at the national and Olympic levels.

For his part, “Khoder Ghadban”, the president of the federation, welcomed the audience, who participated, especially in these difficult circumstances, and explained that the idea of launching the federation came after a series of unfortunate events that occurred with the Lebanese climbers in Nepal in 2018 and 2019 where the climbers were left to their fate, and other tragic events that happened in Lebanon.
“Ghadban” stressed that the main goal of the federation is to develop, spread and promote this thriving sport in Lebanon, knowing that the Lebanese have achieved important results on various levels, from “Fadi Baroudi”, “Paul Khawaja” and “Maxim Shaya”, all the way to the participation of the Lebanese delegation in the Jordan Open Climbing Championship a few days ago. He also referred to the historic year 2019, which was manifested by the arrival of 5 Lebanese out of 16 Arab climbers to the summit of Everest, saying: “We have the will, determination and many of the components for success in this sport.”
He also drew attention to the contribution of the Federation in the development of domestic and rural tourism and the marketing of new types of tourism in external forums, stressing that preserving the environment and increasing the number of natural reserves is at the heart of the federation’s vision. He continued, “We will try to form search and rescue teams in the regions in order to contribute with the Lebanese army, the Red Cross and the Civil Defense in order to help in accidents that may occur, especially during storms,” pointing to the importance of awareness, training and respect for public safety rules for safer sport and tourism.
He concluded his speech by inviting lovers of this sport to join the federation through specialized and regional committees, in order to work in a participatory manner to launch this sport in continuation to the many virtual meetings that were held recently, adding: “There are some administrative issues that are currently being worked on before submitting the joining file in a formal manner to the Lebanese Olympic Committee as well as the International Federation of Climbing.
The ceremony included a message from the Nepalese world mountaineer “Mingma David Sherpa” (the youngest climber of the 14 mountains above 8000 meters in the world and the holder of many world records), in which he wished the Federation and the Lebanese climbers success, inviting them to follow their sports achievements on the international level.
A docu-film premiere produced by Life Happens Outdoors & talking about climbing “Paldor Peak” an undiscovered mountain in the Himalayas also took place at the event.
The event ended with a discussion with the audience, in which the two members of the administrative body of the federation, “Avedis Kalpaklian” and “Imad Abu Ibrahim”, in addition to “Ghadban” and “Abdullah Ouado” participated, followed by a cocktail reception.
