Black Tuesday in the Alps with seven deaths in one day.

The French Alps were mourning Tuesday with the deaths of seven people; Four mountaineers, two paragliders and a hiker in four separate accidents.

Two mountaineers, a 40-year-old Dutchman and a 30-year-old Frenchwoman, had a fatal fall on Tuesday in the Aiguilles Rouges range. Their bodies were found midday Wednesday at 2,200 meters above sea level by rescuers, alerted by a witness.  Two other Italian mountaineers, aged 66 and 67, victims of an accidental fall Tuesday evening, were found in the Mont Blanc massif Wednesday morning.
On the same day, two paragliders died after a flight incident which resulted in the duo falling 200 meters. The two men, an instructor and his client who flew over the town of La Chapelle-d’Abondance aboard a two-seater paraglider, crashed shortly before 6:00 p.m. Tuesday on the roof of a house. A 71-year-old hiker killed himself after falling to 2,400 meters above sea level while he was near the summit of Mont de Grange, in the Massif du Chablais.
