Lebanon.. This one is for you – Alex Ritter, Mont Blanc September 2020.

“To all the victims of “Beirut explosion”, to my friend Georges Madi this one is for you”.

With this touching message from the summit of “Mont Blanc”, Alex Ritter paid tribute to his friend and to all the victims who lost their lives following the devastating explosion in Beirut.

Alex made it to the summit of “Mt Blanc” on the 19th of September 2020 via the “Gouter Route” adding another summit to his list.

“I just hope that all the Lebanese will have the strength to persevere in whatever they are doing” said Alex, “because we deserve and are able to raise this flag fly high and put Lebanon back on the table as a strong entity.

I went from under the wreckage to climbing “Mt Blanc”, Especially that on a side note, it was after a terrible car accident that i pushed myself to challenge myself into a new sports.

Always bounce back, life is full of new and wonderful opportunities.
